Job Description
The HR Assistant will support daily operations related to talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and HR service delivery at the Head Office.
The role involves maintaining employee personnel files and ensuring that all documentation is complete, organized, and up to date. Accuracy and confidentiality are essential in managing employee records.
The position requires recording new employee data into HRIS and IFMIS systems and ensuring that all entries are accurate and timely.
The HR Assistant will facilitate procurement needs of the HR function and coordinate with the store to request necessary materials and supplies.
The role includes supporting the explanation of EHRC’s personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees and job applicants to ensure transparency and clarity.
The HR Assistant will support the review of employment applications and assist in evaluating applicants’ qualifications and eligibility.
The position requires assisting in preparing and advertising job vacancies using appropriate recruitment channels, including internal postings.
The HR Assistant will inform applicants about recruitment processes, communicate acceptance or rejection decisions, and provide guidance on required documentation.
The role includes assisting in drafting and distributing appointment letters, employment contracts, and other HR-related correspondence.
Scheduling interviews, arranging venues, coordinating written exams, and supporting background and reference checks are also key responsibilities.
The HR Assistant will provide technical support to staff at the Head Office and city offices in using the HRIS system effectively.
The position involves recording and updating training and development data in HRIS and ensuring data quality through periodic updates.
The HR Assistant will assist in gathering and analyzing employee performance and talent development data to support institutional planning.
The role includes organizing induction programs and training sessions to support employee integration and development.
Preparation and issuance of employee identification cards will also be part of the responsibilities.
The position may include additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Talent Management and HR Services.

Educational Qualification
Applicants must hold a BA Degree or Level IV Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
Relevant academic training in HR operations, recruitment processes, and personnel management will be highly valued.
Work Experience
Candidates with a BA degree must have at least two years of relevant professional experience.
Candidates with a Level IV Diploma must have at least four years of relevant professional experience.
Experience in recruitment support, HR administration, personnel file management, or HRIS data management is advantageous.
Knowledge of HRIMS or similar human resource information systems is considered an added advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies
Applicants must be computer literate and comfortable working with digital HR systems and databases.
Knowledge of Amharic is required for effective communication within the institution.
Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous and may enhance workplace inclusivity.

Employment Type and Salary
The employment type is open contract for an indefinite period, offering job stability and long-term career prospects.
The monthly salary ranges from 16,109 to 17,850 ETB.
In addition to salary, the position provides a house allowance of 6,050 ETB and a transport allowance of 4,000 ETB per month.
The position reports to the Director of Talent Management and HR Services.
