World Vision Ethiopia is seeking a skilled Driver Mechanic to provide safe and reliable transportation services while performing minor mechanical maintenance and repairs on vehicles, buses, and trucks across Dolo Ado zones and Jijiga office. This role ensures fleet reliability, regulatory compliance, and supports organizational operations.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe and reliable transport services for organizational use.
Perform minor mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance (oil changes, tire rotation, greasing, fluid top-ups, bulb replacements).
Inspect vehicles regularly and report mechanical issues or required repairs.
Maintain vehicles, work areas, and equipment in clean and functional condition.
Maintain accurate logbooks, fuel consumption records, and vehicle accessory counts.
Monitor vehicle performance, submit maintenance requests, and follow up on completion.
Prepare and submit monthly vehicle usage reports.
Provide administrative support to the unit and other divisions as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
12th grade or TVET Diploma; valid 3rd-grade driving license.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in driving and basic vehicle maintenance.
Skill in routine vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
Basic English proficiency; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
Work Environment
Full-time, field-based position.
